I love to travel to beautiful places with wonderful people and relax, do yoga, ecstatic dance, eat live food, have a talent night where people sing and read from their hearts. There are several places I have in mind — Maui, California, Florida, the Mid-Atlantic, France, New York, Italy, the UK.

Springtime is Clearing Time

Reflect now and then, on your own. Tune into that inner most voice, deep within your heart. Listen to the sweet birdsong outside your windows. Tis that season when new life is blossoming all around us. Let it lead you to that next level of competency, that next level of self-realization. Having a Well-Being Coach is like having a spiritual, wellness, life, dating, business, family, creative expression, and any other kind of coach you can imagine. You see, well-being is the fundamental nature of our being. So, taking time to slow down, meditate, and relax into well-being is the smartest thing to do when you’re in crisis. Weekly sessions make all the difference. Click here to explore coaching options.

Singing

When you sing, you want to have a space where you can listen to the echoes and not worry what the neighbors think. But where will you go? A practice room at the local college? A rehearsal space? Whatever you choose, when you finally can express those notes and focus on their timbre, then you will know the ecstasy of singing.

Spa Feng Shui

Color has more of an impact than you may realize. But we often ignore signals in our environment which grate our nerves, at least until it becomes disturbing. Smells, sounds, and certain sights are just too disturbing to ignore. Creating a relaxed ambience means having a quiet space where you can come alive in. Whether it is for meditation, socializing, painting pretty pictures, or formulating potions, a relaxed ambience  means you’ll enjoy the fragrances, the lighting, the colors, and other details of your sanctuary. This is Spa Feng Shui. You may have a veritable spa resort or just want to create that sacred space at home. Either way, Spa Feng Shui is a pleasure to explore.

Self-Actualizing

Living at our highest potential is a thrilling endeavor. Once you’ve let go of the brakes, you find yourself moving forward. In less time than you’d expect, a momentum gets built that sends you on your way.

Self-actualizing is living at your highest potential — in every area of your life. Home, career, love, self-care, travel, creativity…it’s really endless. What if we are really just rolling through the eternal? What if the Universe is truly infinite and our imagination and suspension of disbelief our only limitation?

Where to begin? Daily practices help anchor us as we venture into the unknown each day. There are truly infinite possibilities, but we must stay open for them to come to fruition. First, we must handle the logistics of paying rent and making the daily ritual of eating pleasurable. Then, we must care for our bodies, our relationships, our hopes and dreams. There is a natural sequence which can unfold to your delight. Weekly sessions make all the difference. Get the support you need.

Leadership

“When I was in the Girls Scouts, I attended a Leadership Training. Though I was only 9, I was being taught leadership skills. My mom had encouraged me. I love it. We planned a spaghetti dinner, by starting at the finish line and working our way back.

“After that, I hosted fundraisers and got a thrill by feeling my ability to help others. There were so many people in need, and I did something about it.

“Going to study in a foreign country was also a boost for my leadership skills. Thinking carefully about my speech as I learned to speak their language was very insightful. Usually only the children had the patience to listen as I stumbled through things.

“As I moved from job to job, working my way through layers of responsibility, I have had a voracious appetite for both learning group dynamics and managing the many aspects of team building. Developing congruent messages, getting a broader perspective on what’s going on in the world, comparing local and global issues, it has always been fascinating.”

Dance Classes

I started dancing when I was 9. Mom introduced me to ballet, tap, and toe lessons. Miss Arlene was my wonderful teacher. She inspired me so well. I continued with Miss Pat when Miss Arlene stopped teaching.

In high school I seemed to choreograph dances every year for Field Day, an annual event we had. I began college level dance classes while still in high school. Dance was my major when I did go off to college, in California.

Dance Therapy didn’t feel quite right. I preferred spending my energy in choreography, dance history, and performance. New York, San Francisco, Paris, Montpellier, Napa, Baltimore, Santa Cruz, Los Angeles, San Diego, some of the places I’ve danced or performed.

Family Matters

My parents came from two different coasts in the US. Both their families came from Europe — Italy and the United Kingdom. They met in Japan, had two of my elder brothers, and then moved to the SF Bay Area, where they had my other brother and me.

I was only 9 months when dad got transferred to Manhattan, as we wanted to be closer to mom’s parents, since dad’s folks had now passed over. I don’t have any memories from that time, but I know that I feel California is my home. All growing up, from the time I visited again when I was 13, I knew I was going to live there, where people seem so nice. Now, I’ve lived longer in the Bay Area than anywhere else. It still feels like home.
